National Champion in Morges

Successful title defense for Louna at the Swiss Junior Championships in Morges! With five wins in five bouts, she successfully secured her third consecutive national title in the U20 category this past weekend. In the final, she defeated Sophia Mihalache (FG Lucerne) by a score of 15-12. Things were even tighter in Louna’s round of 16 matchup with fellow FC Bern youngster Salema Riadi, whom she ultimately defeated by a score of 15:14.
"I’m happy to have concluded my career as a U20 athlete with a third consecutive national championship," Louna reflected. "While things didn't always go perfectly for me in Morges, I competed hard and was able to step up in the tournament’s decisive moments. I am happy to take that boost of confidence and optimism with me into the next phase of my career.”
Louna’s next competition will be the Senior Swiss Championships, taking place on June 6 and 7 in Zug.
